Privacy notice
Last updated: 21 October 2026
How s0nar labs handles information when you visit s0nar.net, contact us or ask about data that appears in a feed.
1. Scope and contact
This notice covers the public s0nar.net website and business inquiries to s0nar labs. For privacy questions or requests, email info@s0nar.net.
When we process data on a customer’s behalf as part of a project or API service, the customer agreement and any applicable data-processing terms describe that processing. This notice does not replace those arrangements.
2. Information you provide
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, attachments and any contact or company details you include. We use this information to answer your inquiry, prepare a proposal and manage the resulting business relationship.
The public website has no account registration, payment form or file-upload form. Contact links open your email application. Please avoid sending passwords, API keys or unnecessary sensitive information in an inquiry.
3. Technical information and external resources
The website is hosted through Amazon Web Services Amplify. Hosting and delivery providers receive technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time to deliver pages and operate their infrastructure. Request logs may be used to investigate errors, abuse or security incidents.
Your browser also requests font files from Google Fonts and, on the home page, the D3 library from d3js.org. Those providers receive the network information needed to serve those files, such as your IP address and browser headers. See Google’s privacy policy and AWS’s privacy notice for their practices. External websites you choose to visit have their own policies.
4. Cookies and language preference
This public website does not use advertising pixels or visitor analytics cookies. It stores a language preference under the key lang in your browser’s local storage when you choose a language or dismiss the language suggestion. This value stays in that browser and is not sent to us by the site.
Local storage has no automatic expiry. You can remove the preference by clearing site data for s0nar.net in your browser. Blocking storage does not prevent you from reading the pages or using the language links; the language suggestion may reappear.
5. Purposes and grounds for use
We use inquiry and technical information to respond to requests, discuss and deliver services, operate and protect the website, and maintain necessary business records. Where a legal basis is required, this may be steps you request before entering a contract, performance of an agreement, our legitimate interests in business communication and secure operations, or a legal obligation. Where consent is required for a specific optional use, it must be obtained separately; visiting this site is not blanket consent.
This website does not offer an automated decision service about visitors. Customer projects may involve different processing, which must be described in the arrangements for those projects.
6. Who receives information
People handling your inquiry and providers supporting hosting, email and business administration may process information needed for those tasks. We may also disclose information when required by a valid legal request or where necessary to investigate abuse, protect people or establish or defend a claim.
This public website has no advertising-data sale or sharing mechanism. Data delivered through a customer feed is a separate service; the next section explains how to raise a concern about personal information in a feed.
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. The location and safeguards depend on the provider and service. Contact us for information about arrangements relevant to your inquiry or engagement.
7. Information in data feeds
Our feeds collect records from external sources. Depending on the source, records may contain personal information, such as names appearing in company filings or public news. Source attribution does not remove the need to handle that information appropriately.
If you believe a feed contains inaccurate personal information or information that should be removed, contact info@s0nar.net with the source URL, record identifier if available and a description of your concern. We will assess the request and the applicable service obligations. A request to us does not remove the original source or copies held independently by others.
8. Retention and security
Retention depends on why information is held. Inquiries are retained while needed for the discussion and any resulting engagement; business records may need to be kept longer for accounting, contractual obligations or claims. Technical logs are retained according to the relevant provider settings and operational needs. You can ask us about retention for a particular record.
We use access controls and appropriate safeguards for the systems we operate. No website, email channel or storage system can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect an incident involving information you sent us, contact us promptly.
9. Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Send requests to info@s0nar.net. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity; do not send identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel.
We will respond within applicable time limits and explain any restriction on fulfilling a request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Our business services are not directed at children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can assess and address it.
10. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our website or information practices change and revise the date above. Where a change requires additional notice or consent, we will take those steps before the new use. Our Terms and conditions describe use of the website and service agreements.
